Lady Ranger softball sets winter camp for Jan. 21

ALVA, Okla. – With the spring semester kicking off for Northwestern Oklahoma State University student-athletes, softball coach Jill Webb announced on Wednesday the 2018 softball winter camp will be held on Jan. 21.

The Lady Rangers coaching staff and players will host all ages of softball players interested in improving their skills and learning new technics. The camp will be held at the newly dedicated Dunning Performance Center, formerly the National Guard Armory, on Thunderbird Road. It will feature a hitting session from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by pitching and catching session beginning at 1 to 3 p.m.

The costs for the event is $50 for the morning hitting session and $40 for the afternoon session. It will be $80 for athletes interested in both sessions.

Each camper will need to bring the necessary softball equipment, including gloves, bats, helmets, catcher’s gear, etc. Tennis shoes are required and cleats will be prohibited due to the facilities artificial turf surface.
