ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team was taken down by the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist on the road by a final score of 63-52.

The Tigers jump to 8-5 (4-3 GAC) this season.

FIRST HALF
Arkansas-Monticello jumped out to an early 7-3 lead to open this game, after a Briana Hayles steal, which saw the guard score on a fastbreak layup.
However, Ouachita went on to mount an 8-0 run against UAM to hold an 11-7 lead by the quarter's end.
OBU continued to pace the second quarter in this closely contested battle, and would hold a 25-21 advantage at the half.
SECOND HALF
The Tigers continued to control this game into the third quarter, holding a lead throughout its entirety, leading 45-37 by the period's end.
Ouachita extended the lead in the fourth quarter out to double digits, and ultimately claimed the victory at 63-52 by the final buzzer.
Broadway went on to lead UAM in the second half with 10 points, and also totaled four rebounds.

Arkansas-Monticello will next face Henderson State this Saturday, January 13 in Monticello inside Steelman Field House with game time set for 2 p.m.
