Leslie Wayne, son of Dixie Carole (White) Smith and Billy Wayne Mahoney, was born May 15, 1960, in Cherokee, Oklahoma. He passed away in Alva on the 9th day of January 2018 at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 25 days.

He attended the Alva schools and graduated with the class of 1978.

Leslie worked at Sonic Drive-In and the Alva Review Courier as a paper carrier delivering the Newsgram and Enid Paper. He retired because of health reasons and a stroke in 2003.
