The GED graduation at BJCC included a salutatorian: Christian Rolan-Medina.

Rolan-Medina thanked the crowd for attending. He said he and many of his classmates recall a time not too long ago where graduation was out of reach.

"We put so much energy in negative behavior, that we never really put much thought into the benefits of having an education. Now that we have completed this, we see many doors that are open and all the opportunities that are available to us by achieving our high school diploma."
