Burlington School News: Destruction on Main Street

This crumbling building was torn down over the holiday break.

On Jan. 3, the first day back to school after break, everyone was surprised to see the old building on Main Street (with the elk painted on the side) torn down. Many people of the community were sad to see the building torn down, but were glad because it was becoming a sore sight.

The school acquired the building in November of 2017. The plans for the now empty lot are unknown at this time. However, the people of the community and staff members have ideas of building a bus barn, making a new parking lot, or building a bigger building for banquets.
