Reddies Hold Off Bisons 85-81

Henderson State used solid free throw shooting and got another big game from Kaylon Tappin as the Reddies beat Harding 85-81, Thursday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Reddies, 8-7 overall and 3-6 in the Great American Conference, snapped a seven game losing skid to the Bisons.

Harding started the game on fire jumping out to a 13-2 lead in the first 1:40 hitting five straight field goals including three 3-pointers. Henderson' s only points were a pair of free throws by Chris Parker that ended a 10-0 run by the Bisons.

Tappin produced Henderson's first field goal at the 16:44 m...
