ALVA, Okla. – The Class 5A No. 2 Woodward Boomers were every bit as advertised as the No. 16 Alva Ladybugs struggled defending the perimeter in a 66-26 loss on Tuesday night at home.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak by the Ladybugs as their record moved to 12-7 on the season. On tonight, Feb. 2, the Ladybugs play host to Class A No. 2 Frontier at 6:30 p.m.

Woodward controlled the tempo of the game from the opening quarter, jumping all over the Ladybugs with a 23-3 lead after the first quarter. Julie Owen hit a free-throw three minutes into the game to get the Ladybugs on the board...
