Ashley Earns Second Place Finish in Kansas

MANHATTAN, Kan. – (Results) Hayden Ashley finished second in the heptathlon Saturday at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational, hosted by Kansas State.

Ashley, a sophomore from Tulsa, met the provisional qualifying standard with 5050 points, the 13th-highest total in NCAA Division II this season. He finished runner-up in the pole vault after clearing 14' 5.25" (4.40m) and won the 1000-meter run in 2:49.88.

Andrew Worley finished sixth with 3974 points and Kolten Speaks was seventh at 3388. Worley had a fourth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.90 and Speaks took fifth in the pole vault at 11'9.75" (3.60m).

Several Bison and Lady Bison athletes are also competing in Norman at the J.D. Martin Invitational Saturday afternoon.
