Kiowa citizen's tip results in arrest of man in violation of parole

During the day of Wednesday, Jan. 31, Barber County Sheriff’s Department officers and the U.S. Marshall’s office executed an arrest warrant in Kiowa, Kansas. A tip from a local citizen by phone call prompted law enforcement to come to Kiowa to a residence that was temporarily housing the man who was arrested.

That’s according to Barber County Undersheriff Dusty Brewer, who said Marcus Lee Miller was arrested. The undersheriff confirmed the warrant was from the Department of Corrections Parole Board. He said that Miller, who is not from Kiowa, had violated parole. Brewer did not say wh...
