SMU frat to cease activities amid hazing investigation

DALLAS (AP) — A fraternity chapter at Southern Methodist University has been ordered to cease all activities while being investigated for possible hazing.

The Dallas Morning News reports that the Pi Kappa Alpha chapter was ordered Friday to cease activities. The order comes after the university received information last week that the chapter may have violated the school's policy against hazing.

The university's code of conduct says that hazing, being hazed or failing to report hazing could lead to disciplinary action for students.
