Eagles win first regional game in 18 seasons; season ends to Forgan

The Freedom High School boys basketball team did something it hasn't done in 18 seasons last Thursday afternoon as the Eagles beat Taloga 59-41 in regional play in Leedey.

The win over the Panthers gave Freedom its first regional victory since the 2000 season.

With the victory against Taloga, the Eagles moved on to take on Forgan in the regional consolation semifinal. Unfortunately, Forgan ran out to a large lead in the first quarter that the Eagles were unable to battle out of as the Eagles ended their season with a 72-39 loss.

Freedom's boys finished the season with a 12-16 mark in region...
