Funeral services for Robert Lee Love will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Alva First Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Ruwaldt officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Robert Lee Love, son of Willard and Lucille (Greer) Love, was born November 14, 1932, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, and passed away February 20, 2018, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Bob graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas, with the Class of 1953. He worked 18 years in bakeries in Wichita and Topeka, Kansas. On April 30, 1977, he was united in marriage to Ruth Florence Callies in Topeka, Kansas. They moved to Alva where he worked at Northwestern Oklahoma State University until his retirement on December 31, 1992.

He was a member of the Alva First Baptist Church. While at the nursing home, he never missed afternoons when the church provided singing for the residents. He always requested "Church in the Wildwood." He enjoyed reading and building model ships.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth.

Bob is survived by his brother, Wilbur Love of Baltimore, Maryland; his sister, Phyllis Cowan of Harrison, Arkansas; other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made through the funeral home to the First Baptist Church or the NWOSU Foundation.
