Two seniors selected for OSU FIT program

Two Burlington seniors, Stephanie Croft and Deacon Burleson, have been notified of their selection into the competitive FIT program at Oklahoma State University (OSU). Freshman in Transition (FIT) is a program within the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

The students selected for this program live in a specific residential community with student academic mentors (SAMS) who help them become positively engaged in college activities that will promote personal and academic growth. The program encourages academic excellence, leadership development and new experiences through participation and service.

Several students from Burlington have participated in this program in the past. Students participating in the FIT program must be pursuing a degree in agricultural sciences. Burlington FFA instructor Travis Bradshaw helped develop the program as a freshman and was one of the first student academic mentors in the program at OSU.
