Alva High School senior Korry Mackenzie Day, 18, died Monday from injuries sustained in a vehicle rollover. The one-vehicle wreck occurred at 6 p.m. on Flynn Street, 447 feet east of County Road 470, and approximately a half mile east of Alva.

Day was driving a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer westbound on Flynn when he lost control on washboard sand and gravel. The vehicle went into a broad slide, departed the roadway to the right and overturned two and a quarter times. Day was ejected approximately 85 feet west of the point of impact.
