Commissioners declare trucks as surplus

All three Woods County commissioners were present for the regular meeting Monday, Feb. 26. After approving warrants, claims and payroll, the commissioners voted to approve removing two vehicles from inventory. The 1980 Chevrolet truck and 1978 Chevrolet truck from District 3 have been sold.
District 3 had three vehicles to be declared surplus. Commissioner John Smiley said the three flatbed trucks are still being driven but are worn out. Approved as surplus are a 2001 Chevy, a 2003 Chevy and a 2007 Chevy.
No action was taken on changing the designated receiving officer for District 3.
