Area firefighters graduate from FF1 Academy

Fifteen fire fighters from the Dacoma and Cherokee volunteer fire departments completed the FF1 Academy's 96-hour course at Northwest Technology Center; they were recognized on Saturday evening for successful completion of the academy curriculum. The training started in November with Bryan Miller as lead instructor for the academy. The academy included classroom, theory and hands-on training.

Dacoma Fire Department volunteers who completed the training were: Matthew Furr, Ryan Keck, Kyle Schoeling and Eric Wiederstein. Cherokee volunteer firefighters included: Luke Hague, Matthew Jenlink, Bryan Kimminau, Bob Kimminau, Chas Patterson, Clint Ream, Tyler Rice, Caleb Roberts, Clayton Roberts, Scott Tidwell and Thomas Wessels.
