The senate passed two bills last week, including an amended budget for Fiscal Year 2018. As I discussed last week, the budget legislation enacts across-the-board cuts of 0.67 percent beginning with the March allocations.

In addition to the budget bill, senators also approved a piece of legislation ensuring the Department of Human Services (DHS) properly fund projects that are part of its core mission.
