Mary Jane Schmitt, daughter of Frank and Nettie (Campbell) Schmitt was born May 8, 1938, southwest of Hardtner, Kansas, on the farm. She passed away at Share Convalescent Home on March 2, 2018, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 22 days.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Wharton Funeral Chapel LLC in Alva with Rev. Bob Brown, pastor of the Alva Church of God, officiating.
