Bison Split with UCO

 


SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist split a pair with Central Oklahoma Tuesday, winning 16-1 in the opener before falling 11-2.

Bison Head Coach Bobby Cox picked up with 1,324, matching the career win total of Mike Metheny, who retired with the NCAA Division II record after last season. Cox will not be recognized as the NCAA record holder due to the percentage of games played by the Bison in the NAIA.

After falling behind 1-0, the Bison scored twice in the first inning by Brett Bloomfield and Zane Gelphman.
