Ten junior 4-H members and three senior 4-H members from the Alva and Waynoka 4-H clubs entered 30 heifers and 18 steers in the 2017-18 Woods County Stocker Cattle contest. This is a significant increase in participation from the previous year. The cattle were weighed on Nov. 18, 2017, to begin the contest. Final weights were taken on March 3, 2018, and the record books and contestant interviews held on March 6.
