LAFAYETTE, La. – The 4x400 relay team of Kirby Roy, Abby Lentz, Chloe Riddley and Kenisha Bryant capped the Southern Arkansas effort at the Louisiana Classics by blazing to a fourth-place finish among a twelve-team Division I field, while also setting the program record in the event with a time of 3:50.26, on Saturday evening in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The previous school record in the women's 4x400 relay was set last season by Roy, Lentz, Bailey Yocom and Bryant. Yocom served as an alternate on Saturday. In the final event of the meet, the team bettered the school record time by 0:01.33.

Roy recorded the fastest time of the four legs with a 55.27 start, followed by Riddley (56.78), Bryant (56.90) and Lentz (1:01.32).

Additionally, Bryant logged a 4th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.46; just 0:00.37 from setting an NCAA Provisional Qualifying Time in the event. Sophomore Bailey Yocomrecorded a Top 10 finish in the 400 meter hurdles as well as she placed ninth with a personal best time of 1:06.19.

Seven Lady Muleriders set or matched a personal best time/mark on Saturday, while Lentz raced to a ninth place finish in a crowded 400 meter field with a time of 56.64. Junior sprinter Breanna Byrd competed in the 400 meter for the first time in her career and placed 24th.

After winning the discus throw at the UCA Spring Opener last weekend, senior thrower T'Keyah Crockett placed fifth in the event among a highly-competitive field at a final mark of 132' 11".
