EDMOND, Okla. – Arkansas Tech men's golf combined for a 313 in the first round of the UCO Broncho Invitational on Monday, putting the Wonder Boys in second place before the final round on Tuesday. Austin Gean shot a team-best 71 (+1) and currently sits in third.

Gean started his round with a par on the 16th hole, but followed with consecutive bogies on 17 and 18. He then responded with six pars and two birdies on the next eight holes and finished the front nine with a one-under 34. Gean and Shawn Tsai, who shot a 78 as an individual, led the 87-man field with four birdies in round one.
