Savage Storm's Watson Takes Pair of Weekly Honors

DURANT, OKLA. – Following her performance in a series victory over Henderson State, Elexis Watson has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week as well as GAC Freshman of the Week.
Watson becomes the first player to take home both Player and Freshman of the Week honors in the same week, and also marks the second-straight week for her to earn the Freshman honor.
She produced an incredible .938 on-base percentage as she reached base 15 times in 16 trips to the plate against HSU.
Watson went 6-for-7 with three home runs and she walked nine times, all but one of them on four pitches, including a bases-loaded walk draw to tie the game in the series finale.
In the opener, she recorded the first multi-homer game of her career and drove in a career-high five runs.
Watson finished the weekend with seven RBI and four runs scored.
