Bugs win in extra-innings over Perry; fall to championship game

PERRY, Okla. – The No. 17 Alva Goldbugs reached the championship game of the Hector Tovar Invitational Tournament on Friday with an extra-inning win over No. 15 Perry, 5-2, after plating three runs in the eighth inning.
Unfortunately for the Goldbugs the bat went cold in the final game on Saturday as No. 5 Jones handed the Bugs their first shutout of the season, 10-0, in four innings.
Alva moves its record to 8-5 this season. The Bugs will be back in action Tuesday on the road against No. 9 Chisholm at 5 p.m, before returning home for a rematch against Jones on Thursday. First pitch again...
