VanVooren fares well in 400 at Texas-Arlington meet

ARLINGTON, Texas (March 24, 2018) – Oklahoma Christian's Leisa VanVooren raced well in the 400 meters on Saturday in the Bobby Lane Invitational, held at Texas-Arlington's Maverick Stadium.
The junior from nearby Bedford, Texas, placed 15th among 33 runners – third among NCAA Division II competitors – with a time of 59.97 seconds. It was VanVooren's first 400 of the outdoor season.
She was the only female OC athlete to compete in the Texas-Arlington meet. OC's team will be back in action next weekend, with some athletes headed to the Texas Relays in Austin and others to the Oklahoma B...
