Burlington School Board discusses future of superintendent with death of Mr. Elliott

It’s a sad time in Burlington with the sudden passing of longtime Burlington Public School Superintendent Glen Elliott. He died March 1 and the Burlington School Auditorium was filled to capacity when his funeral services were held there March 6. In January the school board had renewed Elliott’s contract for his 27th year at Burlington. He had 45 years in education.

Now at their regular March meeting, the board discussed in executive session the future of the superintendent position. They spent just over an hour discussing that position and non-certified personnel with no action to be taken up...
