Woods County commissioners approve two events on the square

A request from Charla Parker of the Nescatunga Arts Festival was approved to utilize the courthouse square the first weekend in June. Parker said this will be the 49th arts festival. The request includes the use of the lobby of the courthouse for sewing demonstrations and the lawn for a variety of crafts and art. Parker said they had arranged with NWOSU for a security officer to be on the grounds. Randy McMurphy made the motion, with a second by David Hamil to approve the event.
