ENID, Okla. – Despite an early lead against No. 12 Chisholm on a chilly Tuesday evening on the road, the No. 14 Alva Goldbugs fell to the Longhorns 10-2 in six innings of action.

The Goldbugs record moves to 8-6 overall in 2018. They were scheduled to take on No. 5 Jones on Thursday, but the game was cancelled due to field conditions.

Alva now travels to Chandler on Friday for a three-way against the host team and Guthrie. The Bugs will take on Guthrie at 2 p.m., followed by a matchup against Chandler at 4 p.m.
