WEATHERFORD, Okla. – In not so ideal conditions for baseball, the Bulldogs managed nine hits and tallied five runs in a 5-0 shutout over Oklahoma Baptist in game one of the conference series. Starting pitcher Cooper Cantwell threw his second consecutive complete game shutout in the process, striking out nine and walking just one.
SWOSU came out ready to play, opening the game with four hits in the first inning and plated three runs in the first inning. Three-straight RBI hits from Alex Pimentel, Brooks Benson, and Jason Nicholsproduced runs and after inning number one, the Dawgs led 3-0.
