Woman arrested in connection with marijuana-laced treats

 


A traffic stop for a defective headlight netted Alva police some brownies, cookies and other treats that tested positive for marijuana.

The traffic stop occurred Sunday, April 1, about 1 a.m. near the intersection of Logan and Oklahoma Boulevard. According to court documents, Officer William Shahan saw the vehicle had a defective headlight and initiated the stop. The vehicle pulled over into the bowling alley parking lot.

As Shahan approached, he saw the driver was moving around a lot and lit a cigarette. While the driver located her proof of insurance, the officer noted he could smell an odor...
