Ladybugs take third; Bell wins 800-meter in Okeene

 


OKEENE, Okla. – Alva High School track and field had another successful showing in its second meet of the season on Thursday as they headed to Okeene to compete in the 2018 Whippet Relays.

The Ladybug track team finished third overall in the event, highlighted by a first-place finish from Ray Ray Bell in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:27.74, finishing four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Her time is currently the second-best time this season in the state according to the Oklahoma Track Coaches Association website.

Bell also recorded the fifth-best mark in the state this season...
