In the final day of filing Friday, a second candidate filed for Woods County Commissioner District 3. Former county commissioner Mike Goucher filed for the seat as a Republican. Incumbent John Smiley filed for the position on Wednesday. He’s also on the Republican ticket, so that race will be decided during the primary election on June 26.

Other Woods County incumbents filing on Wednesday were David Hamil, District 1 Commissioner; Renetta Benson, Assessor; and David Manning, Treasurer. With no challengers, these three will not face an election.
