Fires continue in western Oklahoma

The Rhea Fire (Dewey County) continues to spread. The Oklahoma Forestry Services report it has consumed 248,589 estimated acres and was only three percent contained as of Tuesday morning.

The 34 Complex Fire (Woodward County) covers an estimated 67,776 acres and was 45 percent contained on Tuesday morning.

Red Flag Warnings for fire danger continued on Tuesday for a large portion of western Oklahoma. In order to minimize the threat to life and property, the forestry services urge that you refrain from any outdoor activity that would spark a wildfire. Have a plan ready to guide your actions in...
