Kiowa’s 44th Annual Pioneer Days was to be this coming Saturday, April 21. However, mainly due to the high chance of (welcome, much-needed) rain and cold weather, Kiowa’s Chamber and John Miller (who hosts the roping and steer wrestling events at his arena) decided to cancel the weekend events. Pioneer Days is rescheduled for May 5.
All the scheduled events will go as planned. That’s with the exception of the steer wrestling/bull doggin’. Miller said that event cannot be rescheduled. So the team roping will be held on Saturday, May 5.
