Several county races result from last week's filing

Two county offices in Alfalfa County and one in Woods County will be on the ballot in upcoming elections.
Alfalfa County
Two candidates filed for Alfalfa County assessor: Barbara A. Estrada and Jennifer C. Roach. Both filed as Republicans so the June primary should decide that outcome.
Three people filed for County Commissioner District 3 in Alfalfa County. Randy Nickel filed as a Democrat. Ray Walker and Marvin Woodall filed as Republicans. Voters will have a chance to decide between Walker and Woodall in the primary. Then the winner of the vote will face Nickel in the November general election.
Others filing unopposed in Alfalfa County were Valerie Vetter for county treasurer and Jay Hague for County Commissioner District 1.
Woods County
Two men filed for the District 3 county commissioner seat in Woods County. Both John Smiley and Mike Goucher filed on the Republican ticket so that office will be decided in the primary election.
Woods County incumbents filing unopposed were David Hamil, District 1 Commissioner; Renetta Benson, Assessor, and David Manning, Treasurer. With no challengers, these three will not face an election.
