Burlington School News: Burlington students receive CPR training

Burlington students practice procedures on CPR mannequins during training.

Northwest Technology Instructor Tammy Mustard and students in the medical program at the center in Alva went to Burlington and taught juniors and seniors about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). While teaching the students, Nurse Mustard demonstrated how to give CPR and how to react if someone were to stop breathing. Each student was able to practice compressions and breathing on their own individual CPR mannequin. Burlington students were also taught how to perform and use an automated external defibrillator (AED), which is used to help bring someone's pulse back. At the end of the two hour...
