At the time I’m writing this, fires have entered their second week, destroying more than 400,000 acres and killing two people. Close to 40 homes have been lost. Thank God for the rain, as it has allowed our emergency managers and firefighters to get a better grip on the flames. I pray more rain continues to come.

Despite the absolute devastation, I’m once again astounded and inspired by the way our neighbors have joined together to help each other out. I’ve seen all kinds of outpourings of support from people to help our communities get the help they need.
