Harding's Too Places Second in 5,000 at Drake in Fourth Race in Seven Days

DES MOINES, Iowa – Harding freshman Nehemia Too shattered his personal best and placed second in the 5,000 meters at the Drake Relays Thursday, his fourth race in the last seven days.

Too won three events, including the 5,000, at the Great American Conference Championship and finished Thursday in 14 minutes, 19.99 seconds, just .69 seconds back of winner Akis Medrano of Indiana State. Too's previous best time was 14:43.07.

Too's time was an NCAA provisional but has him just outside the NCAA Division II top 20. He will have another chance to improve his time at a race in California in May.
