ALVA, Okla. – In the final weekend of the regular season, Northwestern Oklahoma State softball hosted the Lady Bisons of Harding University and came away with a doubleheader sweep in victories of 4-0 and 2-1.

Game 1

Stranding two in the first inning, Madison Garza's offense showed some immediate life, putting up two runs in their very first at-bat, one coming on a wild pitch, with the other on a single up the middle by Madison McGraw.

Garza was phenomenal through six innings, giving up just a single hit, while striking out seven along the way. The only hit in the six frames for the visitors was a single.

Northwestern kept the bats rolling on through the game, but weren't able to cross any more over the dish until the fifth inning when pinch hitter, Jada Overby belted a homer over the left field fence, scoring two more runs.

The senior from Edna, Texas continued to dominate in the circle, as she surrendered just one hit in the seventh, but struck out two in the frame to end it in the Ranger's favor, 4-0.
