OBU Places Three on All-GAC Softball Squad

 


SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist placed three players on the 2018 All-Great American Conference Softball Team, it was announced Wednesday.

Dani Manning was selected First Team, Cheyenne Demaree earned Second Team and Katie Reyes was picked for Honorable Mention.

Manning, a freshman catcher from Prague, batted .336 with a team-leading 14 home runs. She had 27 runs batted in. She had a slugging percentage of .728 and an on-base percentage of .425. Manning finished second in home runs and third in slugging percentage in the GAC.

Demaree, a sophomore right fielder from Pryor, led the Lady Bison with a .352 batting average and a .440 on-base percentage. She also belted out 10 home runs and drove in 29 runs. She was eighth in the GAC in home runs and ninth in on-base percentage.

Reyes, a senior third baseman from Vancouver, British Columbia, started every game at third base and batted .319 with two home runs and 13 RBIs. She led the GAC with 18 sacrifice bunts and led OBU with 13 stolen bases. She was seventh in the conference in stolen bases.
