The Oklahoma House of Representatives and the State Senate adjourned the Second Regular Session of the 56th Legislature sine die on May 3. Our final week marked the end to an eventful regular session, which also included a special session as well.

As I reflect on this session, a few big moments come to mind. I don’t think any of us will ever forget when tens of thousands of teachers flooded the Capitol building. Because House District 58 is so far from Oklahoma City, constituents tend to be few and far between. Those few weeks proved to be the exception to that trend though, and I really enjoy...
