Cherokee schools accept two resignations

 


The vo-ag teacher and advisor, Rochelle Blakely, and elementary maintenance employee Todd Swafford notified the Cherokee School Board that they will quit at the end of the school year. Blakely said she had accepted a similar position at the Bristow Public Schools. She said the decision permits her to move closer to home and have a teaching partner. She described the Cherokee school system as one of a kind and is thankful it paved the way for her professional career. She offered to help in transition any way she can.
