Teachers play a huge part in kids' lives since they give the children words of wisdom.

How Teacher Appreciation Week began is still up in the air, but one thing is certain: in 1944 a teacher, whose name was Mattye Whyte Woodridge who had taught students in an Arkansas School, felt that there should be a day to honor teachers. Therefore, she had a great idea to write letters to political leaders to request a national day for teachers.
