ENID – Oklahoma Baptist dropped two games in the Great American Conference Baseball Championships Tuesday, falling to Southern Arkansas 5-2 and 16-3.
The Bison now must await the outcomes of other conference tournaments and a final region ranking to see if their season's body of work is good enough to reach the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
An official determination is expected Sunday.
In the final game of the tournament, OBU broke out to a 2-0 lead in the third when Brett Berghammersingled before Brett Bloomfield launched a two-run home run to left.
