Bell wins state championship; Jones awarded runner-up

MOORE, Okla. – The 2018 Alva High School Track and Field season wrapped up with at bang at the state meet last weekend at Moore High School.
Ray Ray Bell completed a perfect season in the 800 meter run as she closed her career as the 3A State Champion in the event, finishing with a time of 2:20.30, more than two seconds ahead of the runner-up. It was Bell's best time this season in the 800, an event she won in seven meets this season.
Bell was also a qualifier in the 1600 meter run. The senior placed sixth in that event on Saturday with a time of 5:39.77.
