The Northwest District Garden Clubs hosted the 89th Annual Oklahoma State Garden Club Convention at the Runnymede in Alva on May 4-5. This year's convention theme was "Bloom Where You Are Planted." Members received welcome packets prepared by the Alva Chamber of Commerce on their arrival. Members of the Northwest District hosted a welcome reception for all attendees on Friday evening, where they were entertained with soothing jazz guitar solos by Max Ridgway.
