The Alva Street Department prepares to spread more concrete on the north half of Barnes Avenue between the courthouse and the Bell Hotel. The area will be used for the annual car show burnout and will protect the street from damage. It's a cooperative effort of the local car club with a grant from tourism tax and work by the city.
