Two Tyrone residents killed in Kansas crash

One was NWOSU student

 


SEWARD COUNTY, Kansas – A Northwestern Oklahoma State University student and a teen from Tyrone lost their lives in a Kansas crash early Sunday morning. Three other people were taken to the hospital.

The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. May 20 at the intersection of US-54 and Blue Bell Road in Liberal, Kansas.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Rojelio V. Campa, 18, Liberal, was westbound on Bluebell Road when he failed to stop at the end of the dead end road, ran over a concrete curb and entered a divider designed to prevent traffic from entering onto US-54....
