Funeral services for Matt Clepper will be Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Cherokee Methodist Church in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Goodwin-Wharton Funeral Chapel. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Matt, son of Vicke (Hitchcock) and David Clepper, was born May 15, 1976 in Kiowa, Kansas. He passed away May 20, 2018 at the age of 42 years and 5 days.

In 1995 Matt graduated from Cherokee High School and went on to welding school in Fairview, Oklahoma.

He worked at Cormack Farms during High school. Following welding school he worked for George E. Failing Co., in Enid until 2001 when he could no longer work due to his health.

Matt was a kind, loving person with a very big heart. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by Bill and Elke Hitchcock, Lois Watt, Billie Clepper, Floyd and Edith Clepper, Fred and Ruby Gibson.

Matt is survived by his parents; his grandpa, Lloyd Clepper; two brothers Jay and his wife Amanda and Trey and his fiancé Brianna; two nieces, Bailey and Adelynn; a nephew, Trenton; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Cherokee FFA.
