It’s Tuesday morning, May 22. I just finished leaving a message on the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home page for the family of Conner Smith. He was rapidly becoming one of my favorite people – the second son of a fine pair of Christian parents from “no man’s land” between Guymon and Liberal. He was in the process of moving into the Bible Chair to become the “face-man” of our on-campus ministry. I can’t find a word to describe how I feel. Conner was 19. His memorial will be held in a gymnasium with most of his family and friends in attendance.
Tomorrow, I will be joining the family of June Fleming...
